7. Place requests for special consideration, such as those for entry scheduling, hair, make-up, etc., in the "Special Instructions" block on the Dancer Roster. See detailed information on the Dancer Roster. 8. Entries are accepted from studios, independent competitors who are not affiliated with a studio, and scholastic dance teams. 9. IDC assumes no responsibility for entries not received. 10. Entries are NOT accepted over the phone or by e-mail. 11. A DANCER MAY NOT COMPETE MORE THAN ONCE IN THE SAME AGE DIVISION, CATEGORY, AND SUBJECT. A routine is labeled "SUPPLEMENTARY", or moved up one age division, if the entry includes one or more dancers in the same age division, category, and subject, as another entry. For example, if a studio has two 9-10 small group tap routines that contain one or more of the same dancers, one MUST be entered in the 9-10 small group tap and the other entered as EITHER a 9-10 small group " SUPPLEMENTARY" tap, or as an 11-12 small group tap. If a routine is moved up an age division, this must be noted in the " Special Instructions" block on the Dancer Roster. 12. IDC reserves the right to re-place incorrectly marked entries. Any entry modifications made by the IDC office will be reflected on your confirmation. It is your responsibility to check your confirmation sheet for any changes made from your original entry submission. 13. Dancers cannot compete for 2 or more separate studios/organizations, or combination of an independent and studio/organization (as determined by letter designation assigned by IDC staff) at any one IDC competition. 14. Soloists are limited to entering a maximum of FOUR solos per regional competition city. At no time may a substitute dancer replace a soloist after the program has been established. 15. There is no limit to the number of regional competitions in which a studio may compete, however, 2008 Ultimate Challenge Champions from a regional competition may not compete with the same routine at another 2008 regional competition. 16. Persons defined as " professionals" are only allowed to compete with an entry marked as PROFESSIONAL/PRO-AM. A professional is defined as a person who earns in excess of 50% of his or her total income from teaching and/or performing of dance, and/or has an EQUITY/SAG card, and/or operates their own studio. Full time students may be entitled to exemption from competing as a professional. " Pro-Am" is defined as a professional competing with one or more amateur dancers in the same entry. If you have a question about eligibility, contact the International Dance Challenge office (1-800-797-2145). 17. Entries marked as PROFESSIONAL/PRO-AM compete for the Overall High Scoring Professional/PRO-AM Award regardless of age division. There is no minimum number of PROFESSIONAL/PRO-AM entries required for awards to be given, however, to be eligible for this award a routine must achieve a Gold, High Gold or Platinum placement. Challenges of eligibility of any Professional/Pro-AM entry must be submitted to the IDC Board of Directors in writing no later than 5 business days following the IDC event in question. IDC Board of Director's decisions are final. |
